Swearing in ceremony of Newly admitted Advocates to the Rwanda Bar Association

Wednesday 30th January 2019 The High Court Kigali has received oaths of 90 newly admitted advocates to the Rwanda Bar Association, These new advocates were officially admitted as Bar members today in this ceremony presided over by the High Court, The 90 New members of Rwanda Bar includes 36 Rwandese and 54 Foreign Advocates from different countries like Ghana, Gambia, Cameroun … allowed to practice in Rwanda.

The President of the bar Association, Mr. Kavaruganda Julien Gustave welcomed the new Bar members and advised them to uphold professionalism marked by integrity and honesty. He also advised them to contribute in fighting against Corruption and deliver corruption free justice to the public.

During the swearing in ceremony the High Court mentioned the Problem of case backlog in Courts and recommended newly admitted Advocates and all Practicing lawyers in general to Adopt mediation in civil matters in court proceedings inline to reduce cases going straight to the courts which should be resolved during the Mediation process while reducing case backlog and deliver timely and quality justice to the citizens.
