Rwanda Bar Association Visited Impinganzima Hostel in Nyamata

On Friday the 3rd May 2019, Rwanda Bar Association visited Intwaza currently living in Impinganzima Hostel /Nyamata, this was built by Genocide survivors assistance Fund ( FARG) in partnership with AVEGA Agahozo and it accommodates 62 Intwaza who lost their whole family and left alone and vulnerable during the Genocide against the Tutsi in April1994.

During the 100 days of commemoration of the Genocide against Tutsi, every year the Rwanda Bar Association prepares a one day to pay tribute to victims of the Genocide in general including around 15 former legal counsels killed during the genocide against the Tutsi. This Year the Rwanda Bar chose to pay visit to Intwaza / NYAMATA to hold in hand with them during this hard period for the whole Rwandan Society.

With regards to support Intwaza living in Impinganzima Hostel for sustainable financial will RBA Handed 500 chairs that values the cost of 3 million Rwandan Francs that will be used in their conference Hall which they plan to lease for events and entertainment use

In his remarks, the President of the Rwanda Bar Association said that Advocates as the legal practitioners and human rights defenders, must fight against genocide Ideology or any kind of injustice which can bring the country back to the genocide. He also said that Rwanda Bar is committed to fight against any kind of genocide denial in Rwandan society.
