To continue improving and promoting quality Judicial service delivery through the whole justice chain right from the inception of a case to its final adjudication for the main objective: to putting in place a computerized Judicial case processing system for the whole judicial chain (RNP, NPPA, Judiciary, CLS to RCS), the IECMS has become essential in providing easier, faster and affordable judicial service to the Rwandan citizens.
It is in this regard that Rwanda Bar Association is conducting intensive trainings on the system for its members, with full support from USAID Duteze Imbere Ubutabera (DIU) Activity which aims to improve judicial effectiveness in both formal court mechanisms and community justice (Abunzi); as well as public understanding of judicial system processes and legal rights.
Proceeding other sessions supported by DIU, from March 21st to 22nd, 2019, another session was conducted for 40 Advocates from Kigali and around the country, to equip them with the knowledge on the use of IECMS and how manage to handle cases for their client as IECMS is being used as a single tool for filling cases to the Court.
The system is not only intended to increase the knowledge of legal practitioners but also address the issue of case backlogs, hence helping Rwandans access justice as faster and easier as possible. The training was appreciated by the participants for being so important in keeping and updating their skills on the use of the system which has made life easier.
